I am deeply honored to have been elected as the Chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for 2024-2026 and appointed as a parent member of the school board. I sincerely thank the parents and the school for your trust and support.
The PTA is a strong team of class representatives, divided into different groups to serve parents and students in various areas. Together with Vice Chairperson, Mr. Ho Chi Hang Peter, we will lead the PTA, carrying on its spirit. By uniting parents, collaborating closely with the school, enhancing communication and working together, we hope to build a quality, harmonious, and joyful campus life!
I hope that in the coming year, the PTA will continue to serve as a bridge between parents and school and organize a variety of activities. I encourage all parents and students to participate actively. Once again, thank you all for your support of the PTA over the years!

It is my honour to be elected as the Chairlady and Governor of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the school years of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. I feel much honoured and delighted as I can meet a group of like-minded, caring and selfless PTA members and teachers through our co-operation last year.
Not only can Home-School Co-operation build the foundation for harmonious relations, but it can also facilitate effective learning of students. In order to further enhance the co-operation between parents and teachers, an effective communication reaching a consensus among parents and teachers is very important. Some of these important elements include:
The role of PTA:
Group members of PTA can accept each other with open-mindedness, mutual understanding, mutual encouragement. With this attitude, the spirit of Home-School Co-operation can be shown.
"School": a place where parents can play an active role in providing guidance, discuss and reach a decision based on other parents' options.
"Parents": an active role on facilitating the implementation of school policy and teaching affairs, expressing opinions on the school policies, and supporting each other in the PTA.
"Student": a role in developing his or her potential and making progress in learning.
Reason and Compassion:
The key elements of developing Home-School Co-operation include an effective and close communication between parents and teachers, and the concern for addressing the learning needs of student. Through the sharing of experience among parents, the spirit of mutual understanding and support can be demonstrated.
Discussion and Consensus: Thorough discussion by parents and teachers to reach a consensus.
Arrangement of Activities: Parents' support on arranging and holding activities
Addressing Concerns:
Through the parents' active participation in the PTA activities, parents are encouraged to share the feeling and experiences learned from the PTA activities. With the parents' participation and contribution, the PTA can be more transparent so that the parents' concerns can be addressed. With emphasis on our active participation and contribution, we can assist both parents and teachers in resolving problems.
I sincerely hope that spirit of "GT College (Sec) Parent Teacher Association" can be passed on successively. We can work together to assist students to demonstrate the spirit of GT College, to learn the right attitude in learning, to strive and explore their own talents, to achieve their goals, to create a wonderful life, and to contribute to the society.
