I am humbled to have been elected as the Chairperson of the GT Secondary Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) for the upcoming two years (2022-2024). I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all parents for their trust and support.
Parents and schools are important partners in shaping the education and development of our children. To set good examples for our children, I encourage all parents to actively participate in different school and PTA activities and to share the joy of learning and growing with our children.
I pledge to carry on the spirit of the SPTA and continue to unite parents towards a common goal. Through mutual encouragement and sharing, we can all work together to support our school and build a happy and pleasant community.

It is my honour to be elected as the Chairperson and Governor of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the school years of 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all parents for your support and trust.
PTA acts as a close partner of the school and also an important channel to provide two-way communication between parents and the school. The cooperation between the two parties can further benefit children by providing them an all-rounded learning experience. Parents involvement is an important element of the success of PTA. I sincerely encourage all parents to participate the activities organized by the school and PTA.
I will uphold the spirit of PTA and pass it on continuously. With your active participation and support, we can strengthen connection and trust among parents, teachers and students in order to further consolidate the happy and harmonious family in GT.

It is always my belief that parents and school are close partners taking part in the education of our next generation. As example is better than precept, I hope all the parents can spend time to participate in various activities organized by the school and PTA in the future, and share the joy of studying in "GT" with your children.

2018-2020 Years
It is my honour to be elected as the Chairlady and Governor of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the school years of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. I feel much honoured and delighted as I can meet a group of like-minded, caring and selfless PTA members and teachers through our co-operation last year.
Not only can Home-School Co-operation build the foundation for harmonious relations, but it can also facilitate effective learning of students. In order to further enhance the co-operation between parents and teachers, an effective communication reaching a consensus among parents and teachers is very important. Some of these important elements include:
The role of PTA:
Group members of PTA can accept each other with open-mindedness, mutual understanding, mutual encouragement. With this attitude, the spirit of Home-School Co-operation can be shown.
"School": a place where parents can play an active role in providing guidance, discuss and reach a decision based on other parents' options.
"Parents": an active role on facilitating the implementation of school policy and teaching affairs, expressing opinions on the school policies, and supporting each other in the PTA.
"Student": a role in developing his or her potential and making progress in learning.
Reason and Compassion:
The key elements of developing Home-School Co-operation include an effective and close communication between parents and teachers, and the concern for addressing the learning needs of student. Through the sharing of experience among parents, the spirit of mutual understanding and support can be demonstrated.
Discussion and Consensus: Thorough discussion by parents and teachers to reach a consensus.
Arrangement of Activities: Parents' support on arranging and holding activities
Addressing Concerns:
Through the parents' active participation in the PTA activities, parents are encouraged to share the feeling and experiences learned from the PTA activities. With the parents' participation and contribution, the PTA can be more transparent so that the parents' concerns can be addressed. With emphasis on our active participation and contribution, we can assist both parents and teachers in resolving problems.
I sincerely hope that spirit of "GT College (Sec) Parent Teacher Association" can be passed on successively. We can work together to assist students to demonstrate the spirit of GT College, to learn the right attitude in learning, to strive and explore their own talents, to achieve their goals, to create a wonderful life, and to contribute to the society.
